I'm on a jag now, looking up Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac reports that no one took seriously. Again the NY Times of 12/7/06.

We have no excuse.Yet another example of the failure of the MSM to do their job, although the Times did cover it, it never got the legs it should have. Why not? Who squashed it?
