All is not lost, although yesterday's vote was. Much remains to be done before this bill can be sent to the President for his signature. No need to storm the Bastille, or move to Costa Rica, yet. The most troubling part is just how twisted our legislative process has become. Like most everything else in our culture we have allowed the legislative process to become a ridiculously litigious and overcomplicated system. Most of the legislators have no clue what the rules are in their own daily business process. If I were as unfamiliar with my business, I wouldn't have one.
The good, if inconvenient news is anyone following the process is getting quite an education in it. This article is a great example - covers most of the requirements of the process over the next couple of days. Here's to the Internet, alternate media and hard headed "system gaming" libs. They are making us pay attention.
